The MPKT Foundation

Named in honor of Moses Pau Kim Tuang, a champion of the Zomi people, our foundation carries forward his legacy of civic leadership, cultural preservation, and compassionate service.

Who We Are

The MPKT (Moses Pau Kim Tuang) Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to serving the Zomi people and the broader Zogam community. We operate at the intersection of civic empowerment, cultural sovereignty, and humanitarian relief.

Our work spans across the Zomi diaspora and the homeland of Zogam — a contiguous mountainous region of approximately 60,000 square miles spanning parts of Northeast India, Western Myanmar, and Bangladesh.

Our Heritage

The Zomi are an indigenous people whose heritage stretches back centuries across the highlands of South and Southeast Asia. United by common traditions, customs, language, and social life, the Zomi governed themselves according to customary laws long before colonial intervention.

Today, the MPKT Foundation works to restore, protect, and promote this rich cultural heritage while empowering communities to face modern challenges with dignity and resilience.

Our Vision

We envision a future where the Zomi people are civically engaged, culturally vibrant, and resilient in the face of adversity. A future where sovereignty is preserved, awareness is universal, and no disaster victim is left without aid.

The MPKT Foundation believes in non-violence, peaceful co-existence, and mutual respect — both within the Zomi community and with neighboring peoples.
